Almost all work performed on public trees, those trees planted in the right-of-way or parking strip next to your property, needs to be performed by a ISA Certified Arborist. They in turn apply for a Street Tree Permit from the City of Spokane Urban Forestry Program. All work performed on public trees requires a no cost street tree permit. This is vitally important and gives us the ability to protect city trees from improper pruning, planting, and unwarranted removals.
